THE MAN BEHIND THE LENS
Michael Marciano born in Manhattan developed an eye for symmetry, color, texture and form at a very early age. Michael's has traveled the globe in search of beauty, art, music and the opportunity to offer his interpretation of visual art. Through the observation of many masters, Michael's heart remains captivated by the beauty of the arts.
At a young age, Michael was familiar with most of the masters in visual arts having been exposed to many images and ideas at the Guggenheim and MOMA in Manhattan. Michael loved paintings, pastels, photography, sculptures and works of glass, his passion for art increasingly grew and at the age of 12 he had his first camera and his first dream...... "I want to be a great photographer" !!
Michael's moved from New York to South Florida and for Michael it brought a new world of nature to his urban upbringing. His photography began with nature having an edge and twist that forged a way into his current photography. Nature photography translating to "Pet Photography" is a natural love and deep passion that communicates in his images beautifully. Michael's Abstract and Fine Art approach to his photography sets him apart from standard photography. There is no set pattern, no costumes or gimmicks that can ever replace the breath, movement and life that is captured with each priceless image.
Michael's response to his work nationally and internationally has been very inspirational to his continued success. Families, kids, couples, individuals all have had a similar reaction to the imagery that Michael produces, one of surprise and wonder seeing their furry loved one in "Another Light", Michael's light............. Michael's dream alive and living on the canvas, his dream of "Drawing With Light".
Many of Michael's furry friends images hang on walls of very proud parents and are conversation pieces that continue to promote his outstanding work and vision, to "Draw With Light".
Mission Statement
I believe the power of the arts in every form is so vital to every culture and every generation. We are each given a gift to see life through our own eyes, our own souls, our own hearts, in essence through or own lens.
I have envisioned capturing the living essence, the breath, movement and life of my subjects adding an element of abstraction in various ways.
The origin for the word photography is literally "Drawing With Light" and in the content of that phrase I try to conduct my art form.
As in all visual arts, content, form, symmetry, balance, constructed or deconstructed composition and so much more, all of these come in to play in "finding or capturing" the personality of your loved one or loved ones.
My true ambition and highest compliment is to hear that you can "feel" the soul & presence of your furry friend coming through in the images I capture.
I am privileged to have the joy to provide this for you and am confident in my craft. May your days be full of joy and happiness being loved unconditionally by some of the most loving creatures on this earth.
